FLIGHT TRAINING AT MFT

Whether you’re dreaming of taking the controls for the very first time or working toward a professional aviation career, Murwillumbah Flight Training offers a clear pathway into your aviation journey.

Based at Murwillumbah Aerodrome, we offer practical, professional flight training in an ideal location for student pilots.

Because Murwillumbah Aerodrome is located within the Gold Coast flight training airspace, our students are able to begin their training within seconds of take-off. As an uncontrolled aerodrome with relatively low traffic levels, it also avoids the delays often associated with larger controlled airports.

This means you are paying for actual flight time, not time spent waiting on a taxiway or unnecessary airport fees.

With the neighbouring Gold Coast and Ballina controlled airspace just a few minutes away in either direction, students gain valuable experience learning to fly and operate safely and effectively in controlled airspace.

Learning to fly is about more than simply gaining a licence. It's about developing the knowledge, judgement, skills and confidence to become a safe and capable pilot.

Our instructors have more than 75 years of combined flight training experience throughout South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

Holding a PPL allows you to fly aircraft anywhere in Australia for private purposes.

A CPL is the qualification that allows you to be paid to fly. For many pilots, it represents the transition from recreational or private flying into a professional aviation career.
